Bio based materials became a trend in the market where they find their share through being eco-friendly. However with some exceptions, use of bio based materials are in single use applications, like packaging industry, due to their non-durable nature.

As eurotec's main focus is on durable, strong, functional and versatile engineering materials; its approach to bio based material is also aligned with it.

One of the exception of bio based material is TecomidNI (PA6.10). TecomidNI is based on biopolyamide PA6.10 and contains 63% bio based material made from castor oil.

TecomidNI (PA6.10) shows very low moisture absorption, excellent salt and hydrolysis resistance hence it is used for Air Hose, Fuel Hose, Cable Jacketing and Radiator Inlet/Outlet Tank applications.
