Wear Resistance

WEAR RESISTANCE

Metals require machining, polishing and surface treatments to have lower coefficient of friction for gears, bushing and shafts applications.

Self-lubricating thermoplastic compounds provide good scratch and wear resistance along with low coefficient of friction. Moreover they can produce in a single step and not required any additional process like metals.

Graphite and molybdenum disulphide, Silicone oil, PTFE, Aramid fibers can be used to achieve to have low friction coefficients and provide good wear resistance.
